yourtinywriter is a very simple system that only aims to allow you to write undisturbed and nothing else. Nevertheless, here is a little guide to its functions.

what about exports?

You can export your writing to HTML and MD format and *.yourtinywriting format. What is ".yourtinywriting" format? .yourtinywriting is just JSON file that includes title, dates etc... With little of knowledge, you can read it anywhere.
Yes, everything is portable.

help me with formatting

yourtinywriter is not md editor, but it uses some principles from its essence.

headlines how to format your headlines: Start your row with hashtag # title to format your text as headline. You can use levels one through six.

quotes quote someone or something: Start your row with greater-than sign > quote to format your text as blockquote.

preformated text if you need to keep the rows intact: Start your row with lesser-than sign < text to format your text as non-breakable.

summary in case you want to sumarize something: Start your row with ~ summary symbol to create your summary.

note notes for your writing: Start your row with asterisk * note to format your text as note, but even so you have a separate window for notes.

chapters separate your chapters: If your row contains / / / only, it will be formatted as a chapter separator.

scenes separate your scenes: If your row contains * * * only, it will be formatted as a scene separator.

rules add horizontal rule: If your row contains - - - only, it will be formatted as a rule.

breaks break pages while printing: If your row contains ~ ~ ~ only, it will be treated as page break.

inline formating bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, link: Toggle inline formating from options, highlight text and choose desired function.
Why is this option hidden? We should be writing, not formating.

lists lets create simple lists: Start your row with - or {NUMBER}. and editor will treat the row as a list item.

images paste remote image: Well, you can paste an image url as the only thing in the row. System will convert it into image.

build for speed

The editor is maybe limited, but it is fast and can handle big documents, which stories can be. On the other hand. Live outline generation and words/paragraphs/headlines counting can be very challenging. That's why you can turn them off. With my computer, I can comfortably edit with live counting and outline generation a document of about 400,000 words . However, if I turn these features off, I can edit a document with about a million words. On my mobile too.

saves

Don't see the save button? That's okay, system automatically save your writing every 60 seconds, but if you're not happy with that, you can find a manual save in the editor tools at the bottom under the three dots.

Also, under the words counter you can see a small indicator if there are any unsaved changes in your writing.
